Claire Leichter '14
Claire is a 5’ 2” (and ¾”) firecracker from Wayland Massachusetts. Most people call her Claire, but those near and dear to her call her Eugene or éclair. She is a renaissance woman on the field, playing all positions. She is also quite the athlete off the ultimate field. Spoken like a true athlete, she responded, “I play all the sports” when asked about her athletic career. She won a bronze in curling nationals in high school and has also competed in soccer, tennis, lacrosse, basketball (presumably when 5’2” wasn’t a problem on the court), track and softball. On the line, she says that she gives herself pep talks, but as a captain, her thoughts are more often about her teammates and planning positions for a point. A big fan of road trips to tournaments, she recalls an unintended 4 hour detour (into the wrong state) as a highlight. Claire prefers Thai food and a good breakfast sandwich, although not necessarily together. When not playing sports or getting lost, she studies biology and dabbles in crafting.
