Emma Korosei #14
Hometown: anchorage, ak
class year: 2021
Major: Sociology/Anthropology
Thousands of years ago Alaska was the bridge between Asia and North America. Due to geology (1), however, soon the Atlantic Ocean carved a great divide between the two lands. Right in the center of it all, Emma Korosei has lived with her “amazing and annoying” sister, and seen everything. Anchorage, Alaska is where she calls home, and though she claims she has not had to fight off a bear, they come as close as her home porch. Luckily, her intimidating nostril flares always scare them away. She cites “big scary animals (2) and cute ones (3)” as well as “cool wildflowers” as the primary flora and fauna of her homeland. If she were to be an animal, vegetable, or mineral, she would be an animal and she hopes to become a wolverine one day. Generally, she lives with “no regerts.” This is exemplified by her recent conversion to frisbee, where she has quickly thrived. She considers it “kind of fun.” In fact, she will be the first Carleton student (ever) to minor in Eclipse Studies. Hopefully her wolverine claws will not interfere with her dope handling skills, as well as her soccer and nordic skiing abilities.
